Photoblog Challenge: Day 3
* Day 3: Something you bought today
Today I bought myself another jar of coconut oil and some peppermint oil to add to my oils mix (to offset the smell of shea butter and tea tree oil).

* Day 2: Someone you adore – 5 reasons why
MY MOMMY!
I love my moms because
1. She never gives up on me, even when I've given up on myself.
2. She is teaching/has taught me how to be a good wife! (Before I'm a wife!)
3. She is one of the strongest people I know.
4. She's not judgmental, but never let my brother or I run wild.
5. She taught me to love Jehovah. <3 Next to life that is the most beautiful gift she could ever give me. :)

ProductLove- Tea Tree Oil
I have fallen in LOVE!
On Saturday, I did a bit of retail therapy. It was a bit overdue considering the drama i've been going through. *Another post will be done on Retail Therapy in itself...* Among a few other places, I went to Whole Foods looking to add a few oils to my hair regimen. I picked up another jar of coconut oil (didn't like it as much as my last jar, so I may be returning it if I can.) along with some grapeseed oil and a little bottle of tea tree eo (essential oil).
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!!!! I LOVE TEA TREE OIL!
After reading all the rave reviews on tea tree oil, I had to try it! I'd broken out pretty bad over the weekend and on a whim a put a few drops of it in my cleanser (noxema). Now, I know noxema already makes your face tingly, but that oil packed a powerful punch! Then, just to overdo things the way I do, I put a drop of it on both of my pimples (one of which was in that gross 'crater' phase). In the morning my blemishes were a bit less red and starting to dry up, so I put another 2 drops on them. Overkill queen that I am, I went ahead and added about 5 drops to my half bottle of astringent (clean&clear) and used it after my washes (or when I was too lazy to wash my face). Nowww on Wednesday not only are my blemishes GONE but......*drumroll please*
NO SCARS! NO SPOTS! CLEAR SKIN! winwinwinwinwinwinwinwinwinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!
I'm definitely a happy camper with my tea tree oil. I'll post my official "acne regimen" soon.

My love is too STRONG, BEAUTIFUL, HAPPY...to have thrown back in my face.
Tyler Perry does it again!
'For Colored Girls' is one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen. If you're not a fan of poetry, you may be a bit confused by most of it. Even if you don't understand some of the words, its pretty self-explanitory. I feel like in a sense almost every woman could identify with at least one of the characters. Thats what makes it so great. This movie is truly Tyler Perry's best work to date.

About my Senegalese twists...but mostly hair rambling.
So last year whilst trying to transition I tried to do some twists......
I really hated them. The parts were big and obnoxious (to me, anyway and the color was a bad choice even though I had that color highlights. They lasted like a week and a half....then I went and got a relaxer.
Since then my hair has been through a LOT. Most recently, I've had mucho drama that is causing my hair to come out due to stress! :( So now not only is it breaking off and only "long" in like ONE SPOT, but it seems like its coming out by the handful. The confusing thing is, my stylist has told me that since I have really thick hair that shedding shouldn't scare me at all. She even showed me how much hair came out after she'd washed and styled it a few times.
So idk what to really think, I know that my nape area is definitely doing bad. It used to be as long as the rest of my hair. No "kitchen". Now I've got an almost 90% natural "kitchen." This is getting really frustrating for me and since my stylist had to go back to working full-time (NOT doing hair) I haven't been to her in a WHILE. I'm about 14weeks post and can do little with my hair :(.
Right now I'm seriously debating just giving natural another try, I'm kinda confused. My hair used to be so thick and beautiful! I just don't know how its gonna look with a relaxer without cutting it A LOT now. So I'm lookin at going from about SL (shoulder-length) to maybe...chin length? My hair hasn't been that short in upwards of 10yrs. Then there's the natural route... That would mean a mini chop, too. Then no more straight styles! I love my bangs (as does mister) and i'm not sure i'm ready to part with them. Meh...my natural hair has a really pretty curl pattern (maybe 3c to 4a). Idk WHAT to do.
lol this was supposed to be about my twists.
AAAAANYWAY
I got moms to help me try the twists again annd.....
They're prettiful!
So I'm gonna stick with these for a while.
I did mom's yesterday! Her hair has been natural for years but its starting to get thin. I'm trying to help her with the growth. Right now she's got a TWA (teeny weeny afro). I'll post pics of her style probably tomorrow.
thats all for now......l8r loves! :)
twists done!
Finished my twists! They took a while but i love them. Extra points cuz mister likes 'em too :)
